The One With The Phone Diverts

In the Name of Allah, the Owner of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy.

As-salaamu 'alaykum, dear Diary.

Well, I come one day closer to my date of death. I know I have one - I just don't know what it is.... spooky!... It could be 26/5/09; it could be 5/8/06; it could be 22/8/38. Who knows? But anyway, I am one day closer to it. Nice to know. One less day to go. Yay!

Well, I was asked to do an earlier duty in the studio because a lot of children from a local school have come in to sing some Islamic songs on the radio. They were very well behaved and the teaching assistant and nominated parent helped them to move around the station very well. I have been able to update my blog and pay a few bills on the internet, al-hamdu lillah.

EarthGirl (of www.earthgirlblog.blogspot.com fame) sent me a comment on yesterday's post, to which I replied. I replied that I was not saying that there are other communities out there which have problems, but the reason why I was highlighting the Pakistani community in the UK was because they hold up the banner of Islam (i.e. they claim to belong to the best nation on Earth, who enjoin the good and forbid the evil, yet they seem to do many things which go against this).

Anyway, the sun is shining as I sat typing at this PC in the radio station admin area.

As I walked out of my house today, the bright sunshine, dark clouds and rain brought back distant memories of days at the seaside.

I also set my phone to divert all calls to another operator's (Orange, that is) answerphone system. So if anyone tries to ring me on my days off (especially places where I work), they will get a message asking them to enter their Orange phone number, followed by the hash key. :)

Bavarian Wood Exports up at 7 today.

Adnan signing out from the admin area PC.

Wa-s salaam!
